Duffy Health Center operates the only Medical Respite program on Cape Cod. Medical Respite is short- and medium-term housing for homeless patients recently discharged from the hospital. The Medical Respite program includes housing, medical care, healthy food, and spiritual care, if desired. The Medical Respite program ensures that patients recover from their hospital stay in a safe environment with daily medical support, improving health outcomes and reducing the recurrence of an emergency department or hospital stay.

Medical Respite stays are coordinated through Cape Cod Hospital.
