Medical Respite provides short- and medium-term housing for patients experiencing homelessness who have been recently discharged from the hospital. The Medical Respite program includes motel-based housing, daily medical care, healthy food, and spiritual care, if desired. The Medical Respite program ensures that patients recover from their hospital stay in a safe environment with daily medical support, improving health outcomes and reducing the recurrence of an emergency department visit or hospital stay. Each patient works closely with a Duffy case manager who assists them in attaining safe and stable housing. 

Medical Respite is coordinated through Cape Cod Hospital.
