Volunteer

We are delighted that you would consider becoming involved in the work and mission of Duffy Health Center.

There are a variety of opportunities for individuals and groups to impact the important work of caring for the health of those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness on Cape Cod. When you choose to support Duffy Health Center with your time and talents you join a remarkable group that plays a critical role in the care of our patients. Whether providing administrative support, engaging directly with patients, spreading the word in the community, joining a committee, or collecting items for drives for our patients, volunteers are vital to Duffy's success. Assignments can be tailored to maximize your experience while enhancing the support for clients. The benefits volunteers provide every day are immense — and the rewards volunteers receive are truly priceless.

Please email Christina Donnelly at cdonnelly@duffyhealthcenter.org or call 508-771-7517 ext. 169 for more information.

Possible volunteer opportunities include:

Holding a Drive for Essential items

Organizing a drive is a simple, yet fulfilling way to provide support to Duffy Health Center's clients. You can get your friends, family, school, company, or place of worship involved.

Follow the links below to get more information about items we currently need, and share with those you'd like to have participate. Drives are easy to organize, but the items collected have a lot of value to our clients

If you are interested in organizing a drive or have any questions, please contact Christina Donnelly at cdonnelly@duffyhealthcenter.org or (508) 771-7517, ext. 169.

Waiting Room Concierge

As you might imagine, the waiting areas here at Duffy can be very busy at times. Our patients often arrive at our doors in a state of distress, and could use a welcome, calming presence while they wait to be seen by a provider. We are in search of volunteers who will act as Duffy representatives in the waiting room and a liaison between patients and staff, in order to keep patients calm and help to lighten the load of the front desk staff by providing direction, insight, and other helpful information to patients. Training will be provided; we are looking for an ongoing commitment of one or two times per week for this important role as part of the Duffy community!

If you are interested in volunteering as a Waiting Room Concierge, please fill out an application and send it to Christina Donnelly at cdonnelly@duffyhealthcenter.org.
