We are currently recruiting for the following positions:
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)
Location: 105 Park Street, Hyannis, MA 02601
Reporting to the chief executive officer, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the financial stability and internal organization processes that will allow Duffy Health Center to continue to grow and fulfill its mission. With a direct staff of three, the CFO will manage the following functions:
Financial Management and Oversight
- Working with the Staff Accountant, manage and oversee all financial and business planning activities, including:
- Direct and administer all financial plans
- Oversee business policies and accounting practices
- Review and analyze financial reports
- Support and advise the CEO in decision making
- Lead and support organizational budgeting process
- Oversee reporting and monitoring of organization performance metrics
- Provide overall financial oversight and monitoring, including supervision of or the preparation of all regulatory reports (i.e. FSR, UDS, Medicare, Medicaid, IRS Form 990, state tax returns, etc.) and grants management financial reporting
- Ensure that relevant financial data is presented to the CEO and senior management team
- Working with the Billing and Administrative Manager, ensure that all billing functions are in compliance with all payer requirements, are efficient and timely and achieve annual benchmarks for collections
- Working with the CEO, provide staff support and guidance to Duffy Health Center's board of directors and act as primary staff liaison to the Finance Committee of the board
Operations
- Risk management and legal activities: Oversee letters of agreement, contracts, leases and other legal documents and agreements
- Business insurance, including FTCA coverage: Oversee procurement, monitoring and management
- Information Technology: Working with the IT Coordinator, ensure the ongoing maintenance and updating of information systems and infrastructure, including hardware, software and ASP applications and the implementation of any electronic medical record or practice management software upgrades
- Organizational reporting and monitoring: Oversee reporting of relevant organization metrics and measurement, including UDS information. Working with the CEO and Performance Improvement Committee, ensure that the agency develops an annual Performance Improvement Plan in compliance with industry standards (HRSA, FTCA) and establishes appropriate data collection and monitoring systems to effectively implement the plan
- Practice management: Working with the Billing and Administrative Manager, oversee all administrative functions for all Duffy Health Center offices, ensuring smooth daily operations of patient flow
- Facilities management: Ensure adequate and safe physical plant, maintenance and equipment
Qualifications
- Minimum of a BS in Accounting, CPA preferred
- Strong operational experience; ideally has worked in a senior management role for 5+ years in a health care or non-profit organization with progressive experience leading to at least three years experience in financial, operational and administrative management
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis with previous experience overseeing information technology and compliance reporting
- Skills should include organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, strategic planning, demonstrated success in developing and monitoring systems, and project management requiring solid analysis and high levels of collaboration and accountability
- Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, a passion for excellence and commitment to the mission of Duffy Health Center
- Flexible and able to multi-task; can work within a dynamic and fast-moving environment while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems
